Mean while in the workshop....

I am working on these beauties.

I have decided to cast my working web a bit wider and am now proud to say that some of my items will be stocked at Elke Klein General Store in Gladesville 2111.

Elke's store is a wonderful treasure trove where you can find lots of local handmade art works ( some made by costume designer extraordinaire Elke herself), clothes and really cute shoes and accessories. Her wallhangings are truly stunning. Have a look:

Made from recycled fabrics and items found along the way, her pieces are witty and vibrant. Not limiting herself, her soft furnishings and baskets are unique and fun too!

I currently have this beauty in stock with her, a vintage pinneaple lamp revived with a custom shade. Isn't she stunning?

So come check her out at 265 Victoria Road Gladesville, 2111 NSW. Tell her I said 'Hi' :)

Have a great day!

Hi there,

So...it's been a while..I know..

Life got in the way a little, been having a bit of shoulder trouble, and consequently been concentrating on getting better instead of writing on my blog. But I am cautiously optimistic at the moment... got a new shot last week and am pain free! Let's just hope it'll last, fingers crossed.

Anyway enough about me, let me show you what I've been up to:

I am so excited with the things in my shop at the moment. The traffic is picking up and customers are coming to me for custom pieces. If you have anything in mind, that you don't see available or would like a certain piece in a different colour, just drop me a line!

My favorite pieces are still these two ladies:

So far no one has snapped up these two ladies, what do you think it is? Should I brighten up their gorgeous brass frames? And if so, in which shade?

Hope you are enjoying the day, wherever you are

xx Michelle

Look at what lovely pictures landed in my inbox only yesterday?

Lovely Amanda (Hi!) sent me photos of the gorgeous Sussanah lamp she recently bought in my Etsy store.

I just love how the shade goes with the base and even more so the quilt that she made herself. She is one talented lady!

Incidentally Amanda found her shade on Etsy also. Willowbird60 sells lamp shade kits which you can put together at home, and the fabrics are truly lovely. Pay them a visit and tell them I said 'Hi!' :)

For those of you who like Sussanah, I will in the coming weeks be listing more lamps for you to chose from, and if you would like me to customize to suit your interior, send me an email at: contactnewfromnow@gmail.com

I hope you have a lovely weekend everyone!

Have you had a look at Etsy lately? It is the most wonderful bazaar of exquisitely inventive wares from all over the world.
Just typing the word 'upcycled' generated more than 250 pages of items currently available, all of them unique one-offs which aren't available in the high street.

Take a look at what I found:

Be careful though...you may lose a few hours getting lost, wandering around in this wonderful treasure trove that is Etsy!

Have a great day!
