Remember this chair?

Well I finally bit the bullet and upholstered it in a fabric I have held onto for the past..oh I don't know 15 years?? What do you think of the final result?

I'm so excited someone will get to enjoy this gorgeous beauty now. I've named her Beatrice ( Beatrix) after our gorgeous Dutch Queen who is about to leave her post and hand over the Kingdom to her son, King Alexander( and his rather glamorous Argentinian Bride Maxima). Quite exciting as The Netherlands hasn't had a king in many generations!

Hope you have a great weekend!

This is my latest project, found in a Salvos store, I couldn't believe my luck!

A Victorian nursing chair is hard to come by, so I've got my work cut out to do it justice.

I'm prone to choosing bold fabrics and this chairs deserves no less. I've ummed and ahhhed over Schumacher Chiang Mai Dragon or other colourfull options, but I think I've got the right one. I'll keep it under wraps a little longer, but boy, I hope you love it as much as I do!!

As soon as it's done, I'll make sure to share ;)

Hope you have a great day!

Sometimes, when I have a few spare moments, I like to browse Etsy...only to realize several hours have passed! I look for inspiration, to see what others are upcycling or merely to just be amazed by people's ingenuity!

Look what just the word 'yellow' brings up..... for those of you already organised enough to think about Christmas presents....look no further for inspiration:
