Well, the dead line came and went off on the horizon and as usual when I'm trying to get things done against that dreaded clock...it was a case of one step forward and two steps back! Are you familiar with that feeling?

So rather than getting (more) stressed about the dust or blooming brushes, I went swimming with the kids instead and had a ball! Our local pool was actually one of the pools used for the 2000 Sydney Olympics and its pretty great. It has a wave machine and an awesome slide ( as my 5year old described it) so off we went for an afternoon of fun.

To top it off my lovely neighbour offered me some of her Proteas from her front garden and they are now  proudly on display in our tv room. Their leaves are soft like velvet, and whilst they don't smell they last for weeks, which is great! Aren't they gorgeous?

Anyway, I'll keep you posted on my progress!
